Our Memory Care community is guided by Eden Alternative Philosophy and the Montessori Methods — an approach that engages residents through meaningful activities, sparks connection and preserves dignity. Residents benefit from personalized support, thoughtfully designed spaces and staff specially trained in Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia care. Families can feel reassured knowing their loved ones are supported with expertise, empathy and reverence.
Key Features of Memory Care:

At Highview, each resident receives an individualized care plan that considers personal preference for physical, social and well-being needs — created with input from family members and guided by our interdisciplinary team. These plans are reviewed regularly to support changing interests and preferences and discussed at quarterly meetings with the family. Residents also enjoy three nutritious meals each day, with therapeutic diet options approved by a licensed dietitian and prepared by our culinary team.

Learn MoreWe know that moving to Memory Care brings many questions for residents and families. Here you’ll find clear answers to the most common ones — and the reassurance that we’re here to help every step of the way.
Availability is based on current occupancy. If an apartment is unavailable at the time of inquiry, we’ll be happy to add your name to our future resident list and keep you informed of upcoming occupancies.
Highview Memory Care suites consist of a private bedroom and bath.
Our Memory Care residents enjoy thoughtfully planned outings that spark joy, curiosity and connection. Whether it's a scenic drive, a visit to a local park or a seasonal event, these excursions are designed to be both enjoyable and enriching for those navigating the memory care journey. Outings are scheduled occasionally, based on weather and individual needs, with safety always our top priority. While less frequent than those in Assisted Living, each trip is a special opportunity for residents to experience the world in a safe and supportive way.
Activities are based on the Montessori approach to practical life. This approach can vary with each resident. Depending on their previous profession in life, the approach can be customized to the vocational and practical life memory they have retained. The former carpenter can again relive the experience by sanding blocks of wood with staff. These practical life activities are modified to match current abilities and interests, and can include laundry, kitchen tasks, gardening and improv storytelling. Art and music therapy is also a strong component, as well as nurturing and reducing anxiety.
The entire facility of Highview is alarmed. Additionally, our Memory Care unit has keycode entry and exit which only staff and approved family members can access. In the event of an alarm, all staff are trained and implement a response protocol.
